Creating the project

Create New Project

  1. On the File tab, click New.

  2. In the popup Project Details box, enter short description of the project you want to create and press ENTER or hit Ok button.

Tip: To start from scratch, select Blank document. Or, for practice using Word features, try a learning guide like Take a Tour, Insert your first Table of Contents, and more.


Import New Project

  1. On the File tab, click New. And pick Import Project. Locate file with .vxexport extension.

  2. In the popup Project Details box, enter short description of the project you want to create and press ENTER or hit Ok button.

Design and Edit

Adding plugins

More information can be found in VeloXm plugins.

  1. Plugins are placed on the left side and they are divided into groups.

Tip: Plugins could be filtered with the group filters on the right. By default All plugins are shown.

  2. Expand the needed group then drag & drop the plugin.

Configuring and mapping plugins

  1. Every plugin has it's own configuration.

  2. Mapping is made with drag & drop

Starting the project

To start the project there must be at least one data source.

  1. Open Data Upload section on the main screen.
  2. Click Analyze button.

Note: Analyze button analyzes data source and get the number of iterations.

  3. Now you are able to configure starting parameters:

  • Number of Threads (max - 12)
  • Simulation Mode - simulates the migration without changing data
  • Log type (Without, Short or Detailed)

  4. Click Start button to start the migration.

Note: It is possible to Stop, Pause and Resume the migration.

Operations with project

Saving the Project

  1. On the Project tab, click Save.

Tip: Project is saved locally by default in C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\VeloXm\Projects folder with generated Project id.


Exporting the Project

  1. On the Project tab, click Export.
  2. Pick destination. Project file will be saved in .vxexport extension.

Deleting the Project

  1. On the Project tab, click Delete.
